We are always happy to take phone calls or emails and answer any questions you have.
If you want to reserve dates we can take an immediate booking with any of the credit or debit cards listed below. Alternatively if you prefer to pay by cheque we can hold the dates for 7 days whilst you send payment with the booking form.
If you wish to pay by credit or debit card which we can only take bookings over the phone, please have the following information ready so we can process the transaction and confirm your booking, please don't post your credit card details to us!

Conditions of Booking and General Information for The Peat House Holiday Cottage
1. TENANTS must agree to take good care of the holiday home, to leave it clean and tidy and to replace any breakages. This is the main condition of acceptance of any booking.
We take a £50 good housekeeping deposit (which is held as a cheque, which we don't bank) against inventory and cleaning, returnable after the holiday if all is satisfactory. In the event of extra cleaning or items to replace we will inform you immediately, bank your cheque and return any balance you are due.
2. HOLIDAYS In order that property can be thoroughly inspected and prepared between lets, holidays commence at 4.00 pm on arrival day and terminate at 10.00 am on departure day.
Weekly lets are normally from Saturday to Saturday, short breaks are normally either Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday.
3. BOOKINGS
a) A deposit of £75 per week or part week to be paid when the booking is made. If you book within 8 weeks of your holiday the whole rental is required as a condition of booking.
b) The balance of the rent is due six weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
c) Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If for whatever reason you cannot take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. If we do succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid it, less a £25 administration fee. Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. For this reason we strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
4. OCCUPANCY The property is offered only on the understanding that no more than the maximum number of people indicated in the brochure shall use it.
5. PETS cannot be brought to the holiday home (including visiting friends pets).
6. SMOKING is not permitted inside the house.
7. LINEN & TOWELS are provided.
8. ELECTRICITY and CENTRAL HEATING is included in the rental cost.
9. LIABILITY No liability is accepted in respect of loss or damage to the client or any member of the party, their baggage, car or contents resulting from riot, war, strikes, adverse weather conditions or sickness or injury or for loss or damage by a third party.
10. COMPLAINTS If it is felt that there are reasonable grounds for complaint about our holiday home we must be contacted immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. No such matters can be dealt with after completion of your holiday.
11. ACCESS The property owner or their representative shall be allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time for essential maintenance. Wherever possible this would be by prior arrangement.
12. CANCELLATION BY OURSELVES In the unlikely event that your holiday accommodation becomes unavailable due to reasons beyond our control we will inform you immediately and offer alternate weeks or a refund of all monies paid. We accept no other liability if cancellation due to reasons beyond our control occurs.
13. This brochure and booking conditions supersedes all previous issues.
